simplest ever

Broccoli soup.
Cream soups are the simplest soups ever for me. My whole life I've eaten 'proper' ones always with real, proper stock.( made by Mum of course:) But first : cream soups are suppose to be more delicate, so there's no need to do the whole mess with the stock, and second: I like time saving :)
Besides - with delicates soups, very often its even better and tastier without a stock.

so:

1 broccoli,
1 litre of water (around 2 pints),
 optionally 1 chicken stock cube,
2 cloves of garlic,
fresh basil, salt, pepper, thyme,
actually herbs and spices should be used, as one likes it. I prefer it spicy with a lot of pepper and paprika, cause broccoli itself is very mild. Sometimes I like to serve it with half a natural Greek yoghurt cause it makes it taste better, and not so mild.

preparing is extremely simple.
I cook broccoli with water and stock cube. when its soft I blend it all till its creamy. I add herbs and spices and that's it! (I must say that comparing to 'proper Mum's soups its kind of a cheating, but its simple, tasty and healthy anyway! :)

I recommend serving with Greek yoghurt, or with nice bread (but I avoid carbs right now :)

let me introduce myself

Before I start posting my recipes small introduction should be made.
I've moved to England not long ago. I had not much to do so I just kept cooking and baking, and since I love it and I also love eating, I've put on a stone (!). Staying at home and doing nothing doesn't help burning calories so I just kept gaining weight. Seeing yourself in the mirror every day also doesn't help cause you cant see the difference (especially if you don't have scales:) So after few weeks of compulsive cooking and baking, I no longer felt like I should keep doing it.
But on the other hand I don't want to stop cooking, and - I don't want to stop eating good food!
I've been trying with special tablets, special shakes - they help a bit, but after a while it's just boring. I need real, nice food! But I also need to loose at least a stone. So I decided to give up all the 'super tablets' or whatever similar and just make my own diet.

That is me:

Obviously I love French food, unfortunately I love French bread too. For now I'm off any bread, and most of carbs. But I feel like learning to bake my own bread soon :)

beginning

At some point I realised that I love cooking (wow what an unusual discovery :). In the meantime I studied photography and thought  I could combine these things. But then I chose to be more into fashion and fashion blogging, but now I again want to focus on cooking, food photography and sharing with you some nice kitchen design pictures I love finding on the net.
I'm also thinking about showing a picture of myself every once in a while, cause this blog should also be a little project of loosing weight. Moving to England didn't do me too good in case of pounds( or even stones) and now I want to get rid of it.
I like good, delicious and healthy food, but I don't like spending hours in the kitchen. I realised that I'm quite quick with it when I observe my fiancé cooking. He does everything so much like on a food channel (chopping, putting every single ingredient in a different bowl), but with that difference that on a food channel they do a montage, and in your own kitchen you cant :)
I like it easy and quick, but delicious and healthy. Sometimes I will share more complicated recipes, but most of all I like to cook from ingredients I find at home, and figure out newer and newer ways of combining things.
